Explore the boatman's cabin on ROGER (A restored historic wooden narrow boat).
Take a trip on our narrow boat; look around at boats and wildlife.
Find out how a lock works.
Walk around the lock area and discover traces of a previous busy community.
Dress up in Victorian costume at Batchworth Mill.
Re-create the daily chores faced by the canal boat families.
Handle canal artifacts.
Build model canal bridges.
Make lace plates and do some brass rubbing.
Visit the Information Centre and gift shop

Visit cost is £7.00 per student. (based on a minimum group of 12 and maximum 24) Times are normally between 9.45 and 14.30. Transport can be arranged for you through Arriva and all coaches are fitted with safety belts.
The Trust's staff and volunteers will run the activities for you. College staff/supporters will be expected to supervise the students. A Risk Assessment of the site has been carried out. Arrangements can be made for you to see the the centre before your visit
