British Waterways is keen to encourage anglers onto the Grand Union Canal and the water supply reservoirs which line it. Before you fish, check with your local British Waterways office for information on access and availability. Rod licences are obligatory, and can be obtained from your local post office or local tackle shops. Most local angling clubs also sell day permits. Fish to be caught are the roach, perch and bream, chub, pike and carp.
