Roger was once a working narrow boat on the Grand Union Canal between London and the Midlands, delivering mainly coal to factories along the route. The eventual demise of commercial trade led to Roger unloved and in poor repair. Liable to sink at any moment, it was rescued and lovingly restored by the Rickmansworth Waterways Trust.
